As the leader of our painting team, you will coordinate surface preparation, application techniques, and finishing processes to ensure durable, visually appealing results on a variety of industrial components. Your expertise will drive efficiency, safety, and craftsmanship in every project, inspiring your team to achieve excellence in industrial and construction painting standards. Duties Lead and supervise a team of painters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during all painting activities. Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking to optimize paint adhesion and finish quality. Apply paints, coatings, primers, and finishes using spray equipment, brushes, rollers, or other hand tools with precision. Coordinate with fabrication and assembly teams to schedule painting tasks aligned with production timelines. Operate and maintain equipment such as cranes, forklifts, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively. Conduct inspections using basic math skills and measurement tools to verify coating thickness and surface integrity. Manage materials handling including storage, inventory control, and proper disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations. Skills Extensive knowledge of industrial painting techniques including paint spraying and repair processes. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication methods relevant to surface preparation and finishing. Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing machinery, machining processes, and auto painting applications. Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other heavy equipment for materials handling within warehouse or manufacturing settings. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency. Ability to use precision measuring instruments for quality control assessments. Strong understanding of construction painting standards as well as auto body repair techniques for detailed finishing work. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating thicknesses, area coverage, and material usage.
