  • $23 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Visual color comparison Basic math Moving Manufacturing standard operating procedures Color matching analysis Standard operating procedures (SOPs) Full Job Description This is a hands-on, detail-heavy position mixing paint, coatings, stains, primers, clears, and related products.
This person will help prepare orders, assist with color matches, follow formulas, document work accurately, and keep the mix area clean and organized. We are willing to train the right person from the ground up, but this is not a casual position. The right candidate must be organized, reliable, fast-learning, detail-oriented, and able to follow written procedures exactly. This job is fast-paced and can be stressful at times. The person in this role will be on their feet most of the day, lifting and moving product, and should be comfortable getting paint on their hands and clothes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Mix paint, coatings, stains, primers, clears, and related products
  • Assist with color matching and remakes
  • Follow formulas, labels, order tickets, and SOPs exactly
  • Document custom matches and formulas accurately
  • Keep the mix area clean, organized, and safe
  • Stand, lift, and move product throughout the day
  • Support warehouse, inventory, and store operations as needed
  • Occasionally communicate with contractors, painters, cabinet shops, and other customers
REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and reliable
  • Able to follow written instructions and SOPs
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Able to accurately distinguish color differences
  • Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable getting paint on your clothes/hands
  • Able to lift and move gallons, pails, boxes, and related product
  • Coachable and willing to take correction
  • Paint, coatings, cabinet finishing, automotive paint, warehouse, production, or construction materials experience is helpful but not required
  • Spanish is helpful but not required
