Job Description

ABOUT US IDD
Aerospace, located in Redmond WA is a subsidiary of Safran Group, an international Aerospace Company headquartered in France. IDD Aerospace designs and manufactures light plates used on the flight deck of aircraft.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the screening and related operations in the production of a variety of product. Will train to perform both screening and painting operations in the Push Button screening department.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Continuously improves products and processes and participates in quality improvement teams when appropriate. 2. Responsible for ensuring on-time delivery to the customer by maintaining productivity and following department schedules. 3. Recommends ways to save money and cut unnecessary costs. 4. Responsible for satisfying the needs of internal and external customers by responding to customer requests, understanding customer requirements and building successful, productive customer relations. 5. Shoots screens and sets up for screening operations. 6. Performs screening operations which result in consistent quality. 7. Performs lens preparation and assembly of pushbuttons. 8. Performs paint spraying operations on lenses and filter material. 9. Participates in team effort to provide product on schedule.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Accurately completes all related paperwork and wanding functions. 2. Follows all company safety policies and procedures. 3. Reacts to change productively and handles other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of six (6) months screening or mechanical/electrical assembly experience.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination and demonstrate ability to work with small parts.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Daily exposure to chemicals. Protective measures must be taken to minimize exposure levels over time. Must wear respirator, eye protection and gloves when exposed to solvents and when spray painting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing at screen table for up to four (4) hours at one time and using upper arm and wrist strength to continue push or pull squeegee. Sitting at workbench for extended periods to perform lens preparation and assembly. Excellent eyesight required. Moderate impact on sales, costs or assets. Work is performed under direct supervision. Minimum contact outside primary work group.
DEGREE OF SUPERVISION
Work is performed under direct supervision. Reports to Production supervisor. Accountability This position is under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by Title 22 of Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) §120.15 is required.
