Sign Body & Paint

Illumiletter Wholesale Sign Company is looking for a custom Sign Body & Paint Tech The applicant will know how to produce and paint all types of high quality industrial signage for commercial businesses. This position requires the individual to be part of our fabrication team that will fabricate and paint sign cabinets/structures. The applicant must be good with hand & power tools, paint sprayers, and sanders. Has the ability to prep or repair surfaces to be painted using appropriate materials. Knows how to properly clean and prep a paint booth, along with changing filters during and after paint operations when required. The ideal candidate will have to be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high energy environment and have knowledge of painting materials and techniques. As well as and have the physical ability to climb a ladder, and lift heavy items. Experienced automotive painters encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining paint equipment and troubleshooting. Clean, Prepare, and Paint a wide array of signs and sign materials using Mathews paint System Must have the ability to use hand and power tools, paint equipment, and have excellent prep and masking skills Fabricate signs and sign frames using various fabrication equipment Properly and efficiently abide by safety guidelines and uses extra caution while using tools to perform the nature of this role. Clean work area. Knowledgeable in the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

Extremely trustworthy and have a positive attitude, work well with others and have an eye for detail. Must be mechanically inclined and be able to use hand/power tools and tape measures Able to learn and improve on painting techniques to produce a high quality paint job May be required to stand 80% of the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50+lbs Experience in a fast-paced, high-production work environments Willing to do a diversity of tasks in and out of the shop when required Flexibility to work morning and evening split shifts and weekends if required. Regular schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Flexibility to work overtime or odd hours when required to complete a job Reliable transportation
