Company Overview:
Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Steel Fabricator in the Milwaukee area on their search for a Loader / Painter to support shop and finishing operations. This organization specializes in structural steel and miscellaneous metals for large-scale commercial and industrial projects and has built a strong reputation for quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
Role Summary:
The Loader / Painter will be responsible for preparing, coating, and loading structural steel components for shipment. This individual will work closely with production and shipping teams to ensure fabricated materials meet quality standards and are delivered safely and efficiently.
Project Types:
Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals Job Responsibilities:
Prepare structural steel components for painting, including cleaning and surface preparation Apply industrial coatings, primers, and paints to fabricated steel products Inspect painted materials to ensure quality and specification compliance Operate spray painting equipment and related tools Load and unload structural steel materials onto trucks and trailers Secure materials for transport and verify shipping documentation Coordinate with fabrication and shipping teams to maintain production schedules Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment Maintain organized work areas and staging locations Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times
Qualifications/Requirements:
1+ years of experience in industrial painting, steel fabrication, manufacturing, or shipping operations Experience with structural steel coatings or industrial paint systems preferred Forklift experience preferred Ability to safely load, unload, and move steel materials Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50+ lbs Willingness to work overtime as needed Ability to pass background/drug screen Eligibility to work in the U.S.
