Job Description

Job Summary Join our innovative maker space team as a 3D Printing & Maker Space Associate, where your passion for technology and creativity will drive engagement and learning. In this dynamic role, you will facilitate access to our cutting-edge 3D printers and fabrication tools, assist visitors with projects, and promote a vibrant environment of exploration and innovation. Your energy and technical expertise will inspire community members, students, and hobbyists to bring their ideas to life through hands-on experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of maker culture while developing your skills in a collaborative setting. Duties Assist customers with 3D printing projects and questions Prepare, operate and maintain 3D printers and equipment Troubleshoot print issues and ensure quality results Conduct product demonstrations showcasing the capabilities of various maker tools and equipment Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the maker space, including stock management of supplies and materials Promote upcoming workshops, classes, or special events to encourage community participation Requirements Prior experience with 3D printing technology, including operating different types of printers Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse community members effectively Excellent phone etiquette for scheduling appointments or answering inquiries about maker space offerings Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as upselling, merchandising, stocking, point of sale (Shopify) and cash handling Basic math skills for measuring materials and managing inventory accurately Customer service experience in retail or educational settings preferred Reliable, organized, and team player

From $12.00 per hour
