$80,000 - $120,000Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Controls Technician to support installation, service, and optimization of building automation and HVAC control systems across commercial facilities. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining control systems to ensure efficiency, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with major BAS platforms, specifically Johnson Controls (JCI), Distech, and Automated Logic (ALC).Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, program, and service building automation and HVAC control systems (BAS/DDC)Troubleshoot system issues involving controllers, sensors, wiring, and integrationPerform system startups, commissioning, and calibrationRead and interpret control drawings, sequences, and electrical schematicsComplete preventative maintenance and performance checksWork closely with HVAC teams and clients to resolve operational issuesDocument work performed, system changes, and service reportsQualifications1+ years of experience with building automation or HVAC controlsHands-on experience with JCI, Distech, and/or Automated Logic (ALC) systems (strongly preferred)Working knowledge of BAS/DDC systems, controls wiring, and system architectureAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsPreferredExperience with commissioning and system integrationBackground in HVAC service or mechanical systemsFamiliarity with energy management systemsRelevant technical certifications (controls, HVAC, or electrical)Candidates that fill out skills & questions will move to the front of the application process.
