Job Description

Company Overview Anderson Power Services is a leading provider of generator installation, maintenance, and repair services. As a Generac Generator Premier Dealer, we specialize in servicing residential, commercial, and industrial power systems to ensure reliable energy solutions for our clients. Job Overview We are seeking a Generac Industrial Level or equivalent Generator Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced service, diagnostics, load bank testing, and major repairs on commercial and industrial generator systems. This role requires Generac Industrial Certifications and comprehensive knowledge of generator controllers, transfer switches, and three-phase power systems. The technician must be capable of independently troubleshooting and repairing both generator and ATS systems and completing warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer requirements. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and service on all commercial and industrial generator systems Conduct load bank testing and document performance results Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced generator controller and control system issues Perform service and repair on Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) Troubleshoot and repair three-phase power systems Complete major mechanical and electrical repairs including engine, rotor, stator, and control replacements Utilize manufacturer software and diagnostic tools to resolve controller-related issues File and manage warranty claims in compliance with manufacturer procedures Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians as needed Ensure accurate documentation of service reports, parts usage, labor time, and test results Maintain compliance with all company, manufacturer, and OSHA safety standards Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and professional appearance
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Generac Industrial Certifications required Minimum of 5+ years of experience servicing commercial and industrial generator systems Strong understanding of three-phase power systems and load calculations Advanced knowledge of generator controllers and ATS systems Proven ability to perform complex diagnostics and major mechanical/electrical repairs Experience performing load bank testing Ability to read and interpret advanced electrical schematics and technical documentation Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to work independently and participate in on-call rotation as required Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering top-tier generator solutions!
