Boise, ID Pay:
$28•37/hr + Full Benefits (DOE) Immediate opening for an experienced Controls Technician to support commercial building automation systems across the Boise region. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, solving complex problems, working directly with customers, and improving facility performance through smart building technologies. Diagnose and repair complex electronic, digital, and networked control systems Perform preventive maintenance, system commissioning, and software/graphics updates Provide on‑site customer support, ensuring high satisfaction and clear communication Assist with job layouts, field sketches, documentation, and as‑built updates Support sales teams with technical insights and field‑based recommendations Train customers on system operation and provide ongoing technical guidance Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and internal teams Participate in continuous learning to stay current with BAS technologies Qualifications Troubleshooting experience (electro-mechanical systems, HVAC experience highly desirable but will consider applicants with other related technical experience) Technical degree, vocational program completion, military, or equivalent practical experience Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and technical documentation Effective communication skills with both technical and non‑technical customers Strong customer‑service mindset and professional field presence Military training and practical experience highly desired but not required What Success Looks Like You solve complex BAS issues efficiently You build strong customer relationships You identify opportunities for system improvements and upgrades You maintain a high standard of safety and documentation Veterans Are Encouraged to Apply Several MOS's have been very successful in this role including but not limited to: ET, EM, IC, 2AXXX, 3E6X1, Aviation Electronics Technicians, Electricians, Patriot System Maintainer, Aircraft Electrician .Similar remote jobs
