$28 - $50 per hour Job Details - We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Instrument and Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power plant operations, and ladder logic programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our complex control systems. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.Responsibilities:
1. Carry out routine maintenance on instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance. 2. Troubleshoot and repair faults in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency. 3. Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs for all control systems. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in processes and systems. 5. Conduct tests and inspections on control systems and equipment to ensure they comply with safety standards and regulations. 6. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge. 7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all maintenance work, system modifications, and repairs. 8. Keep abreast of the latest developments in control systems technology and suggest ways to apply this knowledge to improve our operations.Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Instrument and Controls Technician or similar role. 2. Proven experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. 3. Extensive knowledge of power plant operations and control systems. 4. Proficiency in ladder logic programming. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems. 6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues. 7. Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards. 8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 9. A degree in Engineering, or a related field, is preferred. 10. Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.A bit about us:
