Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician with strong knowledge of Tridium Niagara (N4/AX) building automation systems to support installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of commercial HVAC control systems throughout Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BAS/DDC systems, HVAC equipment, and open communication protocols including BACnet and Modbus. This position requires strong technical skills, customer interaction, and the ability to work independently in commercial and institutional facilities. Key Responsibilities Install, program, commission, and service Building Automation Systems (BAS). Configure and troubleshoot Tridium Niagara N4/AX platforms. Perform point-to-point checkout, startup, and system verification. Integrate HVAC equipment using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols. Troubleshoot DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and network communication issues. Develop and modify graphics, alarms, schedules, and trend logs within Niagara. Read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation. Perform preventative maintenance and service on BAS systems. Support field technicians, project managers, and customers during installations and upgrades. Provide customer training and technical support as needed. Maintain accurate documentation, backups, and service reports. Qualifications 3+ years of BAS/DDC controls experience Hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara N4 or AX required Knowledge of HVAC systems including AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and rooftop units Experience with BACnet/IP, BACnet MSTP, Modbus, and networking fundamentals Ability to troubleshoot low-voltage control systems and electrical circuits Familiarity with Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Distech, Alerton, or Schneider systems preferred Niagara Certification preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver's licence and ability to travel locally within Massachusetts Preferred Skills Niagara Workbench programming PX graphics and dashboard development SQL or integration experience Experience with energy management systems Knowledge of IP networking and VPN connectivity Benefits Competitive salary Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Training and certification opportunities Career growth within a growing BAS division
Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
