Job Description

Millennium Power Services is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Valve Technician Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is eager to learn a skilled trade in the industrial valve industry. The apprentice will work alongside experienced technicians to learn how to inspect, repair, test, and maintain industrial valves used in power plants, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial environments. This role requires nationwide travel and a strong willingness to learn. Essential Responsibilities:
Assist senior technicians with disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of industrial valves Learn to read blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications Support in-house shop repairs and field service projects Travel nationwide to customer sites to support outage and maintenance projects Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment Maintain accurate service documentation and reports Follow all safety policies and procedures Participate in on-the-job training and technical development
Qualifications and Skills:
Mechanically inclined with strong hands-on aptitude High school diploma or equivalent required Technical school or mechanical training preferred but not required Ability to travel nationwide (sometimes on short notice) Willingness to work overtime, including weekends when needed Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn a skilled trade Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in industrial environments Valid driver's license required We offer: Competitive pay Overtime opportunities Per diem during travel Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.) Paid training and mentorship Opportunity to learn a high-demand industrial trade Long-term career growth and advancement opportunities Millennium Power Services promotes a safe and drug-free work environment.
