Our office is based in Westford, MA, and we are looking for a skilled Senior Controls Technician/Installer to join our team. Role:
As a Senior Controls Technician/Installer, you will be an integral part of our field operations, working directly at client facilities across Eastern and Central Massachusetts, with occasional work in Western MA, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. You'll work on various industrial systems, including electric motor controls, HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and more. With your expertise in VFDs, electric motor control systems, and related technologies, you'll ensure that our clients receive top-tier service and solutions. Main Responsibilities:
Program and integrate VFDs into equipment according to project specifications. Integrate and transition equipment from electrical panels and motor control systems. Install and connect control wiring, and integrate sensors into systems. Troubleshoot machine and system issues to ensure optimal system performance. Read and interpret electrical prints to ensure project specifications are met. Set up metering for custom projects. Knowledge of PID and PLC programming is a plus, but not required. Ensure adherence to safety protocols while on the job site. Represent the company positively, ensuring high-quality standards are met and providing excellent customer service to clients. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all aspects of projects run smoothly and according to schedule.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in controls installation, troubleshooting, or similar roles. Valid driver's license. Experience with VFD programming is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with PLC and HMI programming is a plus, but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on getting the job done right. Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, solutions-oriented demeanor. Comfortable working in a variety of environments, from industrial settings to client facilities.
