Full‑Time | Overtime Available Advance Your HVAC Controls Career Are you a Controls Technician looking to grow your career without the pressure of sales quotas? A well‑established commercial HVAC contractor serving the Michigan area is seeking skilled HVAC Controls Technicians who take pride in their craftsmanship, value teamwork, and want long‑term career stability. This role is ideal for technicians with strong technical aptitude, a solutions‑oriented mindset, and experience working with commercial building automation systems. You'll work on complex commercial projects and cutting‑edge control systems while building a rewarding, long‑term career. Key Responsibilities Perform system start‑ups in accordance with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements Analyze and optimize building automation and HVAC system performance Commission HVAC and DDC control systems, including controllers, sensors, and networked devices Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, equipment, and components Build, wire, and test control panels as required Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, and detailed field notes Provide technical and engineering support for active projects Train customers and internal team members on control system operation Assist the Service Department with advanced troubleshooting calls as needed Skills & Abilities Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Solid understanding of DDC control theory and applications Hands‑on experience with commercial HVAC systems Knowledge of electrical circuits, electronics, and control wiring Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and basic programming Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Professional communication and strong customer‑facing skills Credentials & Experience 2+ years of hands‑on field experience in HVAC controls or building automation Technical degree preferred, but not required Working knowledge of HVAC and/or mechanical systems Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities Equivalent combinations of education and experience are welcome Why Join This Team This contractor has a long‑standing reputation for delivering high‑quality HVAC design, installation, controls, and service work across commercial markets.
