Ensure tubing and hoses are routed neatly, securely, and in a way that avoids interference with moving parts, tooling, operators, and fixture operation. Install and connect FRL units, lockout valves, regulators, gauges, and main air supply components as required. Verify pneumatic connections against the print and confirm proper line identification, port connections, and component function. Assist with testing, debugging, and commissioning pneumatic tooling and fixtures. Troubleshoot air leaks, incorrect valve operation, cylinder movement issues, pressure problems, and other pneumatic concerns. Work with mechanical assembly, electrical, machining, and engineering teams to complete tooling projects on schedule. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Experience with pneumatic assembly, tubing, hosing, pipe fitting, machine building, tooling, or a related mechanical trade. Ability to read and understand pneumatic diagrams, air logic prints, and mechanical layouts. Experience installing pneumatic tubing, hoses, fittings, valves, regulators, cylinders, gauges, and related components. Ability to use basic hand tools, tubing cutters, wrenches, drills, taps, and other common assembly tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to route tubing and hoses cleanly and professionally. Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems, including leaks, incorrect connections, pressure issues, and cylinder/valve operation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a custom tooling environment. Prior experience in the tooling, automation, machine building, fixture building, or manufacturing industry is preferred. Electrical print reading experience is helpful but not required. Preferred Experience Experience with pneumatic valve packs, operator handles, push-button controls, cylinders, clamps, brakes, flow controls, and FRL assemblies.
