Job Description

Instrumentation & Controls Technician Confidential Manufacturing Facility | Day Shift | Competitive Pay + Benefits A growing industrial manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Technician to join its maintenance team. This is a highly hands-on role focused on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving plant automation and control systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the production floor solving problems rather than sitting behind a desk programming all day. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems Maintain and calibrate instrumentation including pressure, flow, level, and temperature devices Support plant automation initiatives and control system upgrades Diagnose and resolve issues involving VFDs, HMIs, sensors, transmitters, and networking components Work with 4-20mA control loops and industrial communication systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and control equipment Partner with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability Document repairs, modifications, and system improvements Qualifications 4+ years of experience in instrumentation, controls, automation, or industrial electrical maintenance Strong troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems Experience with HMIs, VFDs, industrial networking, and process instrumentation Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs Experience working within a manufacturing, processing, food, chemical, or industrial production environment Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred What We're Looking For Strong problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting in a fast-paced plant environment Self-motivated technician capable of working independently Someone who thrives in a hands-on maintenance role and enjoys keeping equipment running at peak performance Compensation & Schedule Day Shift (Monday-Friday) Competitive hourly compensation Full benefits package Stable operation with long-term growth opportunities Send your confidential resume to hillary.cooley@gogpac.com for immediate consideration.
