Valve Technician Caliberr Staffing Broken Arrow, OK 74012 $17.10 - $25.00 an hour - Full-time $17.10 - $25.00 an hour - Full-time We are looking for skilled Valve Technicians to assist with the maintenance, testing, and repair of equipment within industrial and refinery settings. This position is perfect for candidates with a robust mechanical skillset who are prepared to handle both shop-based tasks and field-based service calls during plant outages. This role demands a practical approach, requiring you to utilize your mechanical expertise and troubleshooting skills while ensuring all tasks are performed safely in demanding industrial locations.
Schedule:
6am to 4:30pm, with potential for additional hours.
Compensation:
$18.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on your experience level. Primary Duties Identify issues and perform repairs on manual, control, and relief valves from initial teardown to final validation. Execute the complete process of valve disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and calibration. Provide on-site support by conducting repairs and testing during scheduled plant turnarounds and maintenance outages. Review technical manuals, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate task execution. Utilize specialized testing tools and auxiliary equipment with precision and safety. Manage the organization of job setups, scheduling requirements, and necessary follow-up tasks. Ensure clear communication with plant staff and clients regarding project status and technical challenges. Operate assigned vehicles and machinery in a responsible and safe manner. Support the team by participating in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 emergency assistance. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to all site and company safety protocols. Requirements At least 2 years of experience as a valve technician or in a similar mechanical role within power, petrochemical, or refinery environments. Prior experience supporting plant shutdowns or turnarounds is highly desirable. Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude through the successful troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery. Possess the technical skill to independently take apart and rebuild various valve types. Must hold a current and valid driver's license. Must be able to successfully complete a physical exam and drug screening process. Willingness to travel for work, including overnight stays, as the role requires approximately 50% travel. Maintain high standards of organization, attention to detail, and safety awareness. Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and remain productive with little oversight. Exhibit excellent verbal communication and customer service capabilities. Basic computer skills are necessary for daily operations. Completion of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Desired Background Background in machining. Experience with fabrication or welding. Previous work in petrochemical or power generation maintenance. Experience in the operation or testing of control or pressure relief valve systems.
