We are seeking a highly skilled Valve Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing and industrial maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a wide range of valves used in various industrial processes. This role requires a strong technical background in hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components, with an emphasis on ensuring optimal valve performance and safety. The Valve Technician will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations, field service activities, and customer service initiatives by applying their expertise in instrumentation, schematics, and control systems. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair valves across multiple industrial applications, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. Perform calibration of valves and sensors to maintain precise operation within complex control systems. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings to facilitate accurate installation and maintenance procedures. Conduct preventive maintenance on valves, hydraulic systems, and associated instrumentation to minimize downtime. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and vision inspection systems to diagnose issues accurately. Support field service operations by diagnosing problems on-site involving high voltage, low voltage, and distributed control systems. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation devices including Calypso platforms. Assist in the integration of sensors, calibration devices, and vision inspection systems to optimize manufacturing quality. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using industry-standard documentation practices. Collaborate with engineering teams on schematics review, modifications, and upgrades involving CNC machinery or other manufacturing equipment. Provide excellent customer service during field visits by communicating technical information clearly and professionally. Skills Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance practices. Proven experience with electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage applications. Strong background in E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) engineering principles. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and Calypso automation platforms. Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings for installation or troubleshooting purposes. Experience with calibration techniques for sensors, valves, and precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters. Ability to operate vision inspection systems effectively within manufacturing environments. Knowledge of CNC machinery operation or maintenance is advantageous. Background in military or industrial environments is a plus due to the emphasis on safety protocols and technical rigor. Excellent customer service skills combined with strong problem-solving abilities for field service support. Competence in using measurement tools like precision gauges or calipers for quality assurance tasks.
