Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automation and Controls Engineer/Technician, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced automation systems within manufacturing environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, servo, and vision systems to optimize production processes. Your expertise will drive customer efficiency, ensure compliance with industry standards such as CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and support continuous improvement initiatives rooted in lean manufacturing principles. Duties Design and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Maintain and upgrade programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Work with networks, databases, and various SCADA and HMI systems. Conduct root cause analysis on automation failures in all types of automation systms. Collaborate with mechanical teams to design new automation systems. Perform validated and documented system startups. Document system modifications, create detailed reports, and develop troubleshooting guides for ongoing maintenance. Requirements Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC systems within a manufacturing, utility, or energy services environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Hands-on experience with PLC programming, schematic wiring, and integration in industrial settings. Familiarity with HMI and SCADA systems and programming. AutoCAD and SolidWorks documentation. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and CGMP standards applicable to regulated industries. Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to resolve complex automation issues quickly.
