We have been providing electrical and controls services to manufacturers in the Dallas area for over 26 years and our customer base include aerospace, metal, paint, corrugated cardboard, plastics, and other manufacturers. About the Role The Senior Electrical Controls Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex electrical control systems in support of manufacturing, industrial, or facility operations. This role provides advanced technical expertise in PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, instrumentation, and automation systems, and serves as a key resource for continuous improvement, system reliability, and safety compliance. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical control systems including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networks Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals Lead and support automation upgrades, system integrations, and commissioning of new equipment Perform root cause analysis on system failures and implement corrective actions Monitor system performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control devices Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians and maintenance staff Collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendors to optimize system performance Maintain accurate documentation for systems, repairs, and modifications Qualifications Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5-10+ years of hands-on experience with industrial electrical controls and automation systems Strong proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting Experience with HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.) Solid understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC), motor control circuits, and power distribution Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and respond effectively under pressure Compensation package Competitive salary with significant bonus opportunities Paid time off and a flexible schedule Comprehensive company-sponsored health insurance package for employee and dependents Equal Opportunity Statement If you are a highly motivated individual with a strong background in industrial controls and PLCs, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
