Job Description

We're working with a growing midstream / oil & gas operator looking to add an experienced Gas & Liquid Measurement Technician to their West Texas operations team. This role will support field measurement systems across production, gathering, and pipeline assets throughout the Midland Basin. This is a hands-on field role focused on meter calibration, troubleshooting, flow measurement accuracy, and maintaining LACT and gas measurement equipment across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot gas and liquid measurement equipment Work on gas meters, flow computers, pressure/temperature transmitters, analyzers, and LACT units Perform meter proving and calibration activities Troubleshoot communication and SCADA-related issues tied to measurement systems Ensure measurement accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards Support commissioning and startup activities on new facilities and meter runs Coordinate with operations, I&E, automation, and engineering teams in the field Maintain accurate measurement records and reporting documentation Assist with preventative maintenance programs and system upgrades
Requirements:
Experience working in oil & gas measurement, I&E, or automation environments Strong understanding of gas and/or liquid measurement systems Experience with flow computers such as ROC, TotalFlow, or Omni preferred Familiarity with LACT units, meter runs, transmitters, and instrumentation Ability to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and communication issues in the field Knowledge of API standards and measurement best practices preferred Comfortable working independently across multiple field locations Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Midland/Odessa region
Preferred Background:
Midstream, pipeline, gathering, or production facility experience Hands-on experience with SCADA and automation systems I&E or controls troubleshooting background Associate degree or technical certification is a plus

$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
