Job Description

At SnackCo , our production lines rely on precision and uptime. We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team. You will be the primary expert for electrical troubleshooting, control circuit repair, and power distribution. Your goal is to ensure our frying, seasoning, and packaging systems operate safely and at peak electrical efficiency. What You'll Do (The Work)
Advanced Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair complex electrical failures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You must be able to trace circuits and identify failures in motors, drives, and control loops.
Control Circuitry Expertise:
Maintain and repair control panels, including contactors, relays, timers, limit switches, and sensors.
Power Distribution:
Install and maintain electrical systems ranging from 24VDC control voltage up to 480VAC 3-phase power.
VFD Management:
Troubleshoot, install, and parameterize Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to ensure proper motor speed and torque for our conveyors and kettles. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute electrical and mechanical PMs, including infrared thermography of panels, tightening of connections, and testing of safety interlock systems. Leading by
Example:
As a technical expert, you will mentor junior maintenance technicians on electrical safety, meter usage, and schematic reading.
Installation:
Install machines, build and refurbish control cabinets, hanging conduit, pulling wires etc…
Continuous Improvement Projects:
When the plant is running smoothly, you aren't waiting for a breakdown. You are actively building control panels for new lines, upgrading existing conduit runs, or optimizing motor controls to increase efficiency. Who You Are (Qualifications) Ability to read schematics, but not reliant on them: You can look at a complex electrical blueprint and navigate a control cabinet with confidence and speed. But you can also utilize labeling, IO Maps, and needed trace wires to troubleshoot cabinets
Industrial Background:
3-5+ years of experience as an electrician or electrical tech in a manufacturing or industrial setting (Food & Beverage experience is a significant plus).
Controls Knowledge:
Deep understanding of hard-wired relay logic and electromechanical controls. (
Note:
PLC programming is not required, but the ability to troubleshoot I/O signals is essential).

Absolute commitment to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). The "Doer"

You will always be expected to stay active at SnackCo, when there are no needed repairs, you will do PM, installations, and projects to always improve the facility, machines and processes. Experience with 3-phase motor wiring and rotation. Strong understanding of automation and motor controls. Ability to work in varying temperatures (near fryers) and climb ladders/platforms as needed.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
