In this role, you will be responsible for expertly framing artwork, photographs, and various display pieces to enhance their aesthetic appeal and ensure their preservation. Your craftsmanship will help bring artistic visions to life while maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. Duties Measure and assess artwork or objects to determine appropriate framing options, ensuring optimal fit and presentation. Cut, assemble, and install custom frames using a variety of hand tools such as saws, chisels, and clamps. Select suitable materials including wood, metal, glass, matting, and backing boards to match client specifications and artwork requirements. Use power tools safely and efficiently to fabricate frames, including miter saws, drills, and sanders. Apply techniques such as glazing, mounting, sealing, and caulking to secure artwork within frames while preventing damage. . Perform quality checks on finished pieces to ensure durability, aesthetic quality, and adherence to client expectations. Requirements Proven experience in picture framing industry Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in fabrication and assembly processes. . Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting occassionally. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision craftsmanship and quality control. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Art Framer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and design, coupled with hands-on experience in framing techniques. This role involves crafting custom frames for various artworks, ensuring high-quality finishes, and providing exceptional customer service. The Art Framer will work closely with clients to understand their vision and deliver products that meet their expectations. Responsibilities Measure and cut materials accurately to create custom frames for artwork. Assemble frames using hand tools and machinery, ensuring precision and quality. Collaborate with clients to select appropriate framing styles, materials, and finishes. Prepare artwork for framing, including matting and glazing. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns. Requirements Proven experience in art framing or a related field is preferred. Proficient in using hand tools and equipment relevant to the framing process. Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics and design. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a semi fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. A passion for art and craftsmanship is essential.
