This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing and training program development, who is passionate about developing technical talent and driving high training standards. Position Summary The Training Manager will lead the development and delivery of technical training programs for aerospace mechanics and inspectors. This role combines classroom instruction, hands-on training, and program management to ensure trainees meet quality, safety, and performance standards. The position oversees a cohort of approximately 15 trainees and plays a critical role in shaping workforce capability. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead a group of approximately 15 trainees, contractors, or employees. Design, develop, and update training materials, including presentations, visual aids, tests, and practical evaluations. Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction on aerospace principles, maintenance procedures, and inspection techniques. Create tailored training programs for varying skill levels within aerospace manufacturing. Reinforce learning through practical exercises using tools, equipment, and real-world applications. Evaluate trainee performance through written assessments, simulations, and hands-on testing. Provide structured feedback and create individual development plans. Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety standards and best practices. Support trainees in pursuing continued learning and certifications. Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and performance reports. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry experts to ensure training remains current with trends and regulations. Interpret blueprints and product specifications for assembly and repair processes. Demonstrate and guide techniques such as drilling, riveting, fitting, finishing, and inspection of sheet metal components. Work with various gauges and materials, including aluminum and stainless steel. Perform finishing processes such as trimming, deburring, grinding, and sealing. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Proven ability to develop and deliver technical training programs. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Requires close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
