Welding Instructor (Contract)

Are you an experienced welder who enjoys helping others learn the craft? Georgia Quick Start—an internationally recognized workforce training program—is seeking contract Welding Instructors to deliver hands-on training for new and expanding manufacturers in the Savannah region. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity to use your experience in a different way— training the next generation of skilled workers using modern equipment and training systems. What You'll Do Deliver hands-on welding and fabrication training using: GMAW (MIG) and spot welding Grinding and blending techniques Quality inspection practices Work with trainees in a structured, supportive learning environment Utilize modern welding equipment and virtual training systems Teach from existing, developed curriculum (no need to build from scratch) Who This Is Great For This role is ideal for someone who: Has experience in production welding or fabrication environments Enjoys teaching, mentoring, or showing others how to do things the right way Is looking for flexible, part-time, or supplemental work Takes pride in quality and craftsmanship You might be: A full-time welder looking for additional income A lead or supervisor who enjoys training others A retired or semi-retired professional who wants to stay engaged Qualifications Experience in production welding (MIG/GMAW preferred) Ability to demonstrate proper technique and safety practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Formal teaching experience is helpful but not required.)
