In this dynamic role, you'll support the creation and restoration of stunning stained glass artworks by assisting with fabrication and assembly processes. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in glass art using traditional and modern methods of fabrication, while working alongside talented artisans. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help bring beautiful visions to life, making a lasting impact on our clients and artistic community. Responsibilities Assist with the cutting, shaping, and assembling of stained glass pieces using hand tools and specific fabrication techniques Operate and maintain hand tools and other machinery Follow precise drawings and patterns to meet design specifications Learn to anticipate team and project needs, and take direction from team leaders Prepare materials and tools for projects, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during fabrication and other processes Maintain a clean, organized workspace conducive to detailed craftsmanship and safety compliance Be able to travel for specific projects (limited travel) Be able to put in extra time to ensure project or process completion as may be needed Experience Hands-on experience with hand tools and common power tools, fabrication techniques, or precision measuring instruments is highly desirable Strong math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship Ability to work off of ladders, scaffolding, and lifts at various heights Prior experience in stained glass or related arts is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm for learning and passion for the craft is essential Embark on an inspiring journey of artistry and technical skill.
