In this role, you will lead engaging workshops and classes that foster artistic expression, technical skill development, and appreciation for this vibrant craft. Your enthusiasm for teaching and expertise in glass will help participants of all skill levels discover their artistic potential while creating beautiful, lasting works of art. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love for glass art with a diverse community of learners. Responsibilities Plan and deliver dynamic stained glass and glass fusing art classes and workshops tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced artists Demonstrate glass-work techniques, including cutting, grinding, foiling, and finishing methods, ensuring safety and proper use of tools Provide individualized guidance and constructive feedback to support each student's creative process Prepare classroom materials, tools, and supplies needed for each session, maintaining a well-organized workspace Foster a positive learning environment that encourages experimentation, collaboration, and artistic growth Maintain accurate records of attendance, student progress, and project documentation Promote the program through community outreach and engagement efforts to attract new participants Qualifications Proven experience in creating art work in glass with a strong portfolio showcasing your work Prior teaching or workshop facilitation experience is highly desirable Knowledge of various glass-work techniques, materials, and tools Ability to communicate complex artistic concepts clearly and enthusiastically Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing materials and managing class activities Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels is a plus
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
