Exterior Prep & Painting Apprentice

The Role we are currently hiring an Exterior Prep & Painting Apprentice for a 1st shift position (currently 30 hours per week). This is a hands-on role where you will work directly alongside ownership, learning the trade from the ground up. You will receive direct training in the techniques, tools, and standards required to deliver a lasting, professional finish.

Core Responsibilities Site Preparation:

Executing meticulous surface prep—scraping, sanding, and repairing—understanding that this is the necessary foundation of any enduring exterior finish.

Equipment Operation:

Learning the safe, effective use and maintenance of both hand and mechanical tools.

Staging & Safety:

Safely setting up, moving, and working from extension ladders and staging equipment.

Paint Application:

Receiving guided, hands-on training on the correct application methods for professional-grade architectural coatings.

Site Management:

Handling daily setup, thorough cleanup, and maintaining an organized, respectful footprint on the homeowner's property. What We Offer Competitive Pay • 401(k)

Reliability & Punctuality:

Dependable transportation to local job sites in and around the area, and a commitment to arriving on time, prepped, and ready for a 1st shift schedule.

Coachability:

A strong willingness to take direction from ownership, absorb training on trade-specific techniques, and ask questions.

Experience:

No prior professional painting experience is required, as we will train the right fit. However, a background in hands-on, outdoor work or related trades is considered a strong plus.

Pay:

$18.25 - $21.50 per hour
