Synopsis:

In a remote woodland settlement, Avaline, a healer descended from a line of women hunted by an ancient Crone, rescues Rose from a failed attempt to end her life and offers her refuge. Unbeknownst to Avaline, Rose is bound by a life-for-a-life tether: before nightfall, she must kill Avaline and deliver her bones to save her sister. As sacred waters provide the only refuge from the Crone's voice, Rose is forced into a devastating choice between betraying the woman who saved her or losing her sister forever. This is a performance-driven folk horror short inspired by 'The Witch,' with a grounded, naturalistic visual style and emphasis on atmosphere and psychological tension. Filmed across both outdoor environments and a professionally built, production-designed cabin set. Festival-bound.
