Junior Lead Guide (Lead Guide-in-Training) Woods Montessori School | Huntersville, NC Are you idealistic about working with children? Eager to learn about the Montessori method? Ambitious about advancing your career as an educator? Woods Montessori School is seeking a growth-minded Junior Lead Guide to join our team. In this role, you will actively work within the classroom environment alongside experienced mentors and supportive leadership. You'll deepen your understanding of Montessori education, including taking formal training through an accredited institution. Over time, as the school expands, you'll gradually step into increased classroom leadership responsibilities . We are currently looking for individuals interested in all levels of programming: Infants (8 weeks to 18 months) Toddlers (15 months to 36 months) "Children's House" preschool and kindergarten (30 months to 6 years) About Woods Montessori School Woods Montessori School is committed to maintaining its flourishing community of children and families, rooted in independence, respect, and meaningful connection. What Makes This Role Unique This role combines a full-time job with a course of study. We offer the opportunity to take Montessori training at no cost through our forgivable loan program: the school covers the cost of your training so long as you remain employed. In parallel, you'll have the feedback and example of incredible colleagues and leaders to amplify and accelerate your learning. Position Details Full-time salaried position, with generous benefits Growth pathway into a Lead Guide role as the school expands Ongoing mentorship, coaching, and professional development included Responsibilities Support the Lead Guide in maintaining a calm, engaging, and prepared classroom environment Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members Participate in lesson presentations, classroom routines, and child observations Engage in ongoing mentorship, coaching, and professional development Gradually take on increased leadership responsibilities as skills and confidence grow Collaborate with leadership to work toward future Lead Guide readiness Qualifications Demonstrated interest in and commitment to young children and early childhood development Serious interest in Montessori philosophy and a desire to pursue Montessori training Growth mindset, professional ambitiousness, and openness to receiving feedback and coaching Strong communication skills and a collaborative personality Professional experience working with children preferred but not required Do we sound like a good fit?
