Job Description

Position Overview Butler Tech is seeking skilled manufacturing professionals ready to share their expertise and shape the next generation of the workforce. This part-time instructional role focuses on delivering hands-on, real-world training to adult learners pursuing careers in high-demand trades. Whether your background is in welding, machining/CNC, or electro-mechanical systems, we'll support you in transitioning your industry experience into an engaging and impactful teaching career.
What You'll Do Lead Hands-On Training:
Facilitate lab and shop instruction aligned with current industry practices
Teach Technical Skills:
Break down complex processes, tools, and systems into practical learning
Mentor Adult Learners:
Support students as they build confidence and prepare for new careers Connect Theory to
Practice:
Reinforce classroom concepts through real-world application
What We're Looking For Experience:
Minimum 5 years in a relevant trade or an associate degree in a related field
Mindset:
Passion for teaching with a strong student-first approach
Professionalism:
Reliable work history and ability to pass a background check
Basic Technology Skills:
Comfortable using email and everyday workplace tools
Licensure:
No teaching license required to start—support provided to obtain one Areas of Expertise (One or More Required)
Welding Technology:
SMAW, MIG, TIG, FCAW
; knowledge of AWS standards and shop safety Machining /
CNC:
Programming, milling, lathes, blueprint reading (NIMS or CAD/CAM a plus) Electro-Mechanical /
Mechatronics:
