Job Description

Build & Paint Portland is a family-owned residential/commercial painting company specializing in interior and exterior painting, kitchen cabinet painting, exterior staining and carpentry. This is our ninth year operating in and around Portland, OR. We primarily work on the east side of Portland, with some jobs on the west side of Portland and surrounding areas. We are looking for painters with two or more years of experience. We will negotiate an hourly wage and benefits package with you based on your skill level. Full time benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, a bonus program, health & dental insurance, starting tool kit, and a retirement savings account. Responsibilities:
Assumes personal responsibility for a high-quality finished project Works as part of a team of other painters and painter assistants to fulfill a daily work plan Leads small projects while working individually or with an assistant Uses time app daily to clock in/out of jobs, and to request time off Helps maintain a clean, organized worksite; protects customer property and household items Communicates with customers, crew leader, and co-workers in a positive and professional manner Participates in crew trainings; assists junior crew members to develop basic skills and knowledge
Skills and Knowledge:
Masking and prep skills Experience with scraping, caulking, masking, glazing, wall repair, and sanding Good brush skills Able to work on ladders and rooftops Open to learning new techniques and skillsets Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 3 years of verifiable experience in painting Valid current driver's license and personal vehicle to drive from job to job Work on ladders up to 40' and move ladders independently up to 20' Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Work in a variety of temperatures and conditions Our company's core values are: workmanship, advancement, communication and community .
