Job Description

Role Summary Our Portland, OR (97203) facility is looking for a dedicated Painter / Sandblaster to assist in our finishing operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring surfaces are properly prepped and coated to achieve our rigorous quality benchmarks. We invite candidates who take pride in their technical precision and craftsmanship to apply. Core Duties Clean, sand, and mask surfaces to ensure they are ready for the application process. Utilize sandblasting machinery to strip away rust, previous paint layers, and various surface impurities. Prepare and apply various coatings, primers, and paints in strict accordance with project requirements. Review completed projects to verify quality standards, performing touch-ups or corrections as required. Ensure that all machinery and hand tools are kept in optimal operational status. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to all established safety procedures. Work alongside colleagues to ensure project timelines are met while upholding our commitment to excellence. Required Skills and Experience Demonstrated professional background in both sandblasting and painting roles. Solid understanding of various coating materials, application methods, and industry safety standards. Proficiency in the safe and efficient operation of sandblasting tools. A meticulous approach to tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality results. Physical capability to handle heavy materials and maintain stamina throughout the shift. Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration within the team. Completion of high school or a GED, with additional relevant certifications viewed favorably. Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10) Industrial & Commercial Painting
