Our framing team is tightknit, hardworking, and has a combined experience of over 50 years in custom framing. We are seeking a creative and team-oriented Custom Picture Framer to join our high-volume framing department as a Consultation Associate . This role is customer facing. It involves assisting clients at the frame counter with artwork, photographs, and memorabilia to design high-quality custom frames. The ideal candidate is personable, conversational, reliable and comfortable working closely with both customers and a small, skilled production team. Strong customer service skills are essential as this position has a primary focus on client consultations . Confidently taking accurate measurements and reading a ruler to 1/16-inch increments is a plus. Prior picture framing experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate , who will have the opportunity to learn from highly experienced framers and develop a skilled trade. Although this is primarily a consultation position, the role will also include cross-training in frame production and on the sales floor in the readymade frame department. This position serves as an important link between clients and the production team, helping ensure customer satisfaction, accurate order details, and consistent production standards. Responsibilities Greet and assist clients in the framing department for readymade or custom framing. Consultations can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Assist store department leads with readymade frame section. Knowledge of store inventory including all readymade frames, precut mats, matboard, and framing hardware. Safely handle artwork and customer items Communicate with clients in person and on the phone Measure artwork accurately and write up orders Maintain clean and professional presentation of the custom framing counter and framing department Assist with production, such as sizing down matboards, foamboards, or acrylic sheets. Communicate effectively with the framing manager and production team.
