Winder Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Winder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating winding equipment to efficiently process materials, ensuring high-quality output and maintaining smooth production flow. Gulf Electroquip is located in East Houston, Texas, USA. We specialize in new, remanufactured and repaired AC and DC motors and generators for the oil & gas, dredging, paper, petrochemical, mining, utilities and transportation industries. Our power equipment can be engineered and manufactured to meet the specific needs of your industry. All our engineering is performed at our facility making sure that your exact specifications are met. Your expertise will help optimize machine performance, uphold safety standards, and support the overall packaging and manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment where precision and teamwork drive success. Responsibilities

• Rewind various types of electro-mechanical equipment but does not to have in depth knowledge of all models and motor designs
• Wind new coils per work instructions and Supervisor guidance (Training will be provided)
• Insert & Connect coils into stators per work instructions and Supervisor guidance
• Prepare Stator assemblies for VPI / Potting process (Training will be provided)
• Ability to cut out & remove defective coils
• Remove insulation from core slots
• Ability to replace defective coils leads and braze connections will require supervision
• Test conditions of winding according to EASA standards will require supervision no EASA knowledge required
• Ability to cut & form insulation into stator slots
• Prep all reusable parts for rewinding & inspect refurbished parts
• Test rewound electro-mechanical equipment according to EASA standards & document test results
• Trains & assist others to complete different jobs in the winding department
• Observe all safety procedures & use of protective gear
• Attend regular monthly safety & training meetings Experience Prior experience operating winding or in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred 3 + years of experience in winding

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
