Job Summary/Basic Function:

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College. Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis. Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Reports to the Division Chair of Mechanical and Construction Technologies Teaches Electrical classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods CCPI College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires one of the following: A Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Commercial Electricity or closely related field (e.g., mechanical or electrical engineering) from a regionally accredited college or university An Associate's degree in Industrial/Commercial Electricity and a minimum of three years of non-teaching wage earning experience in the occupational field, or A college certificate in Industrial/Commercial Electricity and a State of Texas Master Electrician License plus three years of experience as a Master Electrician Excellent written and oral communication skills Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one's value to the institution Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration
