Job Description
Box Build / Electrical Assembly Experience Performed box-build assembly of electrical and electronic systems, integrating wiring harnesses, power supplies, connectors, and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions. Routed, dressed, and secured wiring within electrical and mechanical enclosures while maintaining proper bend radius, separation, and workmanship standards. Read and interpreted wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, and manufacturing travelers to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently. Stripped, terminated, and crimped wires and cables using approved tooling in accordance with
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards. Installed and terminated shielded cables using solder sleeves, shield terminators, environmental splices, and heat-shrink components. Performed cable harness assembly, daisy-chain wiring, connector installation, and terminal lug terminations for aerospace and defense applications. Utilized heat guns, soldering irons, crimp tools, wire strippers, and precision hand tools to complete electrical assemblies and repairs. Verified component polarity, hardware stack-up requirements, and assembly configuration prior to installation. Installed mechanical hardware including screws, washers, lock washers, nuts, gaskets, and O-rings during enclosure and panel assembly. Conducted visual inspections and continuity checks to ensure assemblies met quality and workmanship requirements. Followed detailed manufacturing instructions, route sheets, travelers, and engineering specifications while maintaining production and quality standards. Assisted with troubleshooting and rework of electrical assemblies to resolve wiring, termination, and integration issues.
