In this role, you will be responsible for operating surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet rigorous quality standards while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing processes and develop your skills in electronics assembly. Responsibilities Set up and operate SMT pick-and-place machines to accurately place surface-mount components onto PCBs according to schematics and assembly instructions Inspect assembled PCBs for quality compliance using IPC 610 standards, ensuring proper solder joints and component placement Perform soldering tasks, including rework and touch-up, utilizing hand tools and soldering stations to meet quality specifications Read and interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documentation to facilitate precise assembly processes Conduct routine maintenance on SMT equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and document operational activities Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and ohmmeters to verify component dimensions and electrical continuity Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety protocols and manufacturing standards Requirements Proven experience with surface mount technology (SMT) assembly in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of PCB design, schematics, and electrical wiring principles Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies and soldering quality control Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related automation equipment Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, calipers, and other measurement devices Knowledge of electrical testing procedures using ohmmeters and multimeters Basic understanding of mechanical knowledge related to electronic component placement and assembly processes Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting issues promptly Join our team as an SMT Operator if you're passionate about electronics manufacturing, eager to develop your technical skills, and committed to producing top-tier products.
