Job Description
Job Summary NexGen Controls is seeking a motivated and dependable Entry Level Electrical Controls Assembler to join our team. This position is responsible for assembling and wiring industrial control panels while maintaining quality, organization, and safety standards throughout the fabrication process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment, and capable of following electrical drawings and specifications accurately. Candidates should be comfortable using hand and power tools, working with electrical components, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Layout and dimension back panels and enclosures Mount components to back panels and enclosures Route and bundle wire and cables neatly to company wiring standards Perform point-to-point wiring of relays, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, instrumentation, and control devices Read and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and project specifications Troubleshoot wiring issues and correct errors as needed Maintain markups and communicate drawing changes to engineering or supervisors Work efficiently on multiple projects while meeting deadlines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Experience Ability to read and follow electrical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to use hand tools, drills, saws, grinders, and measuring tools safely and correctly Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable, dependable, and results-driven Flexibility and willingness to assist where needed
