2nd Shift - Electrical Assembler

JOB SUMMARY

Our HVAC manufacturing company is seeking to hire some electricians to our team. HOURS are 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM Monday through Friday and occasional weekends. We're looking for dedicated individuals who will show up for work on time, and who will thrive in a team-oriented environment. Successful candidates will have experience in industrial wiring, electrical troubleshooting, and be capable of reading blueprints and electrical schematics efficiently.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety. Must be able to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and plant specifications. The work of Industrial Electricians can often be physically demanding. To install components, they may need to crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time. They must also be able to operate tools in close proximity to electrical components. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Assist in other areas as needed. Pulling wire, running conduit and installing components as needed. Electrical troubleshooting as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects. Operate within standard operating procedures and job safety analysis. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste. Ability to adapt to a changing environment.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Preferred 2+ years' experience in industrial wiring or equivalent. Must pass drug screen. Must know how to read tape measure, blueprints, and electrical schematics. Must be willing to work overtime when required. Must be able to work in a team with others. Must be able to follow instructions. Must have steel/composite toed work shoes.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes. Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sharp edges, and congested working areas. Will be pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, grasping, and lifting to 50 pounds.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

Practice good housekeeping. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must meet established attendance policy and work overtime when required. Must perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
