Job Description
Electrical/Mechanical Assembler is responsible for building high-quality irrigation systems, such as pump stations and control enclosures. The role involves a mix of manual assembly, technical interpretation, and quality testing in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
System Assembly:
Build electrical sub-assemblies, control enclosures, and mechanical units. This includes mounting components, field wiring, and installing cable harnesses.
Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and CAD drawings to ensure precise assembly.
Software & Testing:
Load PLC and touch-screen control software and conduct functional continuity tests using digital multimeters.
Quality & Improvement:
Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform quality inspections, and assist in developing process improvements for better throughput.
Maintenance:
Maintain a clean work area following 5S principles and perform preventive maintenance on shop tools.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of experience for senior roles, though entry-level positions may require at least 6 months of mechanical or electrical assembly background.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., soldering irons, drill presses, torque wrenches, and calipers).
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods, good manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. #
