Job Description

Job Title:
Assembler ($32/hour Immediate Start!) Job Description The Assembler will build, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of electronic and mechanical units and module boxes in a dynamic startup technology environment. This role involves hands-on soldering, mechanical assembly, and close collaboration with engineers to diagnose and resolve issues with hardware and software-related units. The Assembler will support development, testing, and simulation activities, including work on large antenna systems and associated components. Responsibilities Perform soldering work in accordance with J-STD assembly certification standards. Build and repair electronic units, module boxes, and hardware assemblies. Carry out electronic assembly tasks, including cup soldering, heat shrinking, and harness and PCB repair. Conduct mechanical assembly of units and components, including large antenna systems. Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot and repair units, including hardware and software-related boxes. Troubleshoot and fix problems with software boxes used in testing and simulation. Assemble 20-foot antennas as part of testing and development simulations. Load and unload containers of antenna parts and related equipment. Support engineers with mechanical assembly and repair jobs as needed. Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a fluid startup environment and comfortably wear multiple hats. Assist with operational tasks related to the facility move to El Segundo and support setup activities at the new location. Essential Skills Proven experience with electronic assembly and soldering. J-STD Assembly Certification. Strong cup soldering skills for repair work on harnesses and printed circuit boards (PCBs). Ability to perform heat shrinking and other standard electronic assembly techniques. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly of electronic units and hardware. Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware units and software boxes. Comfort working in a startup technology environment with changing priorities. Willingness to take on varied tasks and wear different hats to support the team. Capability to load and unload containers of antenna parts and handle larger assemblies such as 20-foot antennas. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience supporting engineers with mechanical assembly and repair tasks. Background in general production or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with testing and simulation setups involving antennas or similar hardware. Comfort working in a tech-focused defense environment. Flexibility to support a facility move and help establish operations in a new location. Why Work Here? The facility features a large break room with a relaxed atmosphere, including amenities such as a keg in the break room. The work involves hands-on tasks, moving and handling antenna parts and containers, and supporting a future move to a new location in El Segundo. The environment encourages adaptability, teamwork, and comfort with changing responsibilities and priorities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hawthorne, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
