POSITION SUMMARY
Works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions but must generally follow well established precedents.
Responsibilities:
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good understanding of ESD controls, resistance welding, working under microscopes, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques, as well as handling of classified assemblies. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: Mechanical troubleshooting skills; Proficient microelectronic assembly skills Proficient cable harness and PCB assembly; Proficient mechanical assembly of small parts and good understanding of torque requirements; Interprets blueprints, job travelers, rework instructions, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements and quality directives Proficient high voltage potting and high voltage testing skills Shall be certified to IDC Specialist and

  • Maintain productivity, quality and overall performance of assembly operations by completing weekly assignments as scheduled.
  • Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks.
  • Immediately report to your supervisor any infractions of any safety or department/company rule or injury.
  • Report all failures to your supervisor. Report all FOD instances to your supervisor Update supervisor of problems, parts shortages and/or discrepancies affecting production schedule
  • Actively leads and participates in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
  • Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.
May perform other related responsibilities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six (6) or more years of related electronics assembly experience.

Certification preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. As a member of the organization, the employee is expected to work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner. Ability to listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier and respecting the diversity of our work force in actions words and deeds. This position may interact with other departments within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering. The position requires strong cooperative teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently. Basic computer skills will be needed to log into work orders, access time cards, and log workorders for special process. Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, common hand tools and the use of a microscope.
