  • This position requires performing routine and repetitive electronic assembly operations and processes for aircraft parts in a manual manufacturing assembly line environment.
Assembles and solder electronic printed circuit boards, small mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. The employee will use basic electronic assembly tools, instruments and equipment daily in the production of printed circuit boards and assemblies. The employee will also use standard electronic assembly hand tools, common power tools and continuity test equipment such as ohmmeters. The employee will prepare wires for assembly measuring, cutting, stripping, tinning and attaching contacts, lugs and other terminal type devices using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools and soldering equipment. The employee will apply and handle conformal coatings, sealants and adhesives. The employee will perform less complex acceptance test procedures utilizing specific test equipment. The employee will work in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities. The employee will keep their assigned work area organized and clean and will perform other duties as assigned.

  • The employee must have excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
The employee must be proficient in soldering small wires, parts and components. The employee must be proficient with computers. The employee must be proficient with all basic hand tools, ohmmeters and basic power tools. The employee must be proficient with soldering and de-soldering equipment. The employee must have experience and training to

(Requirement for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies). The employee must have experience and training to
IPC-A-610
(Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies). The employee must have experience and training to
IPC-A-620
(Requirements & Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies). The employee must have the ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics. The employee must have the ability to deal with standard tolerance (allowances, limits and fits) and perform advanced math calculations. The employee must have a complete knowledge of related aircraft hardware as it relates to rivets, screws and bolts (NAS, MS, An, etc.). This position requires a minimum of 3 years' work experience in a production environment or equivalent business environment.
