Job Description

Aerospace Mechanical Assembler - Poway - 1st & 2nd Shift Job Description The Conformal Coating Assembler manually applies conformal coating and operates coating machines to protect electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards. Working under general supervision, this role follows detailed instructions, performs precise and repetitive tasks, and ensures all products meet established quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Manually apply conformal coating to electronic components and printed circuit boards using brushes, sprays, or other hand tools. Operate conformal coating machines to apply protective coatings according to specifications and documented work instructions. Prepare assemblies for coating by masking, cleaning, and inspecting components prior to processing. Set up and adjust coating equipment to accommodate different products and coating requirements. Inspect coated assemblies for proper coverage, thickness, and overall quality in line with established procedures. Perform touch-ups, minor repairs, and rework on coated assemblies when necessary to meet quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company guidelines. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times. Assist in training new employees on conformal coating processes and equipment when requested. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and quality goals. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Three or more years of experience in a related assembly, production, or manufacturing environment. Ability to use hand tools and perform precise manual tasks for extended periods. Ability to read and follow work instructions, work orders, and engineering drawings or blueprints. Familiarity with conformal coating processes and equipment. Good computer skills related to production and quality documentation. Strong attention to detail with the ability to distinguish colors accurately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet production schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with torque tools and other production tools in an assembly environment. Background in electronic assembly or circuit board production. Comfort working from detailed specifications and technical documentation. Demonstrated reliability and consistency in meeting quality and productivity goals. Ability to support and mentor new team members in learning coating processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production and assembly environment that focuses on electronic components and printed circuit boards. Work is typically performed on-site in a controlled facility with established safety procedures and cleanliness standards, and you may be asked to work extended hours when production demands increase. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.96 - $27.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
