Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cable Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electrical cables and harnesses with precision and adherence to technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and experience working with various hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality product assembly in a dynamic manufacturing environment, supporting the development of reliable electrical systems for diverse applications. Duties Assemble electrical cables, wire harnesses, and related components according to detailed schematics and technical drawings. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, strip, crimp, solder, and connect wires accurately. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and IPC 610 standards to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Perform soldering tasks using surface mount technology (SMT) techniques and ensure adherence to IPC 610 standards. Conduct electrical testing using ohmmeters and multimeters to verify continuity and proper wiring. Maintain mechanical integrity of assemblies through proper use of calipers and other measurement tools. Follow safety protocols while handling electrical components and power tools during assembly processes. Skills Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings related to electrical assemblies. Strong knowledge of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly processes and surface mount technology. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and understanding their wiring requirements. Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies and soldering quality. Mechanical knowledge related to electrical wiring, assembly procedures, and component installation. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and calipers; experience with power tools is a plus. Ability to work with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and perform basic troubleshooting using ohmmeters. Knowledge of machining processes relevant to cable assembly components is advantageous. Attention to detail in quality control inspections ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires candidates to demonstrate electrical experience combined with mechanical aptitude. Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
