Shift:
Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM- 2:30 PM PST Summary The Mechanical Assembler, Senior is responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures in a production environment. This role involves working with assembly drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to build complex assemblies while ensuring quality and adherence to standards such as IPC-610. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures including drawers, chassis, racks, and cabinets
- Read and interpret assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to complete builds accurately
- Perform hand soldering, wire harnessing, cabling, and circuit board assembly
- Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations for assembly tasks
- Conduct routine go/no-go testing of circuits, components, and mechanical assemblies
- Set up and operate test devices using hand tools or automated test equipment
- Document test results and maintain logs of assembly and testing activities
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly or component issues and perform basic repair work as required
- Ensure compliance with IPC-610 standards, ESD practices, and quality requirements
- Work with electronic components, ensuring proper placement and polarity
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding production status and issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of component polarity and electronic component placement
- Ability to read schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling
- Experience working with SMT machines and circuit board assembly
- Familiarity with IPC-610 standards and ESD practices
- Ability to use hand tools and basic test equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in mechanical and electronic assembly in a production environment
- Experience working with SMT machines and PCB assembly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
