• 2:30 PM PST Summary The Mechanical Assembler, Senior is responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures in a production environment. This role involves working with assembly drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to build complex assemblies while ensuring quality and adherence to standards such as IPC-610. Key Responsibilities
• Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures including drawers, chassis, racks, and cabinets
• Read and interpret assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to complete builds accurately
• Perform hand soldering, wire harnessing, cabling, and circuit board assembly
• Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations for assembly tasks
• Conduct routine go/no-go testing of circuits, components, and mechanical assemblies
• Set up and operate test devices using hand tools or automated test equipment
• Document test results and maintain logs of assembly and testing activities
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly or component issues and perform basic repair work as required
• Ensure compliance with IPC-610 standards, ESD practices, and quality requirements
• Work with electronic components, ensuring proper placement and polarity
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding production status and issues
• Perform additional duties as assigned Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of component polarity and electronic component placement
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams
• Hands-on experience with soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling
• Experience working with SMT machines and circuit board assembly
• Familiarity with IPC-610 standards and ESD practices
• Ability to use hand tools and basic test equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in mechanical and electronic assembly in a production environment
• Experience working with SMT machines and PCB assembly
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
