Job Description

Job Title:
Cable Assembler Monday- Friday 6am- 2:30pm  Job Description The Cable Assembler builds large server racks by following detailed blueprints and written instructions, using a variety of hand and power tools. This role involves routing and labeling hundreds of wires and cables at the back of tall server units while maintaining accuracy, organization, and production quality. The position is physically active and requires consistent attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Assemble server racks according to blueprints and detailed instructions. Use hand tools and power tools, including wrenches and screwdrivers, to build and secure server rack components. Work on server units up to approximately 10 feet tall, ensuring all components are properly installed. Run cables into the back of servers in an organized and efficient manner. Label cables and wires accurately at the back of servers to support clear identification and future maintenance. Perform mechanical and electronic assembly tasks related to control panels, harnesses, and wire assemblies. Follow production guidelines to meet quality, safety, and output expectations. Stand, bend, and move throughout the shift to complete assembly and wiring tasks. Lift and handle materials and components weighing up to 20-30 pounds as needed during assembly. Essential Skills Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and follow blueprints and written instructions accurately. Proficiency using hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches. Proficiency using power tools safely and effectively. Experience running cables into server racks or similar electronic assemblies. Ability to label cables and wires clearly and consistently. Comfort working on large assemblies such as tall server racks. Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day and perform frequent bending. Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 20-30 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in electronic assembly, including working with control panels and harnesses. Experience with wire assembly and cable routing in a manufacturing or electronics environment. Familiarity with production workflows and meeting output targets. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling and neat cable management. Ability to follow safety procedures when using hand and power tools. Reliable work habits and the ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision. Why Work Here? The setting is active and hands-on, with a focus on safety, organization, and efficient workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
