PCB Touch-Up /
Rework Technician The Company:
We are an electronic manufacturing company based in San Jose, CA that produces printed circuit board assemblies, cable assemblies, mechanical and box build assemblies. Job Description :
We're currently looking for a temp / part-time or full-time PCB Touch-Up / Rework Technician who will prepare and solder all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) according to specifications and understand the production process and the quality goals of the company to help achieve total customer satisfaction.
Note:
we are only looking for someone who is experienced and has most if not all the qualifications/requirements that the position entails. It is important to note that this is not a position for someone who has minimum or no experience and is looking to be trained.
Responsibilities:
Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, and blueprints related to the department and operator position Rework, repair, and modify printed circuit boards and/or assemblies to required specifications Perform all levels of SMT and thru hole hand component soldering to IPC standards Work with leaded and lead-free solder Interpret resistor color codes and capacitors values Advanced understanding of PCB assembly drawings/instructions and related documents Utilize electrical/manual tools such as soldering iron, desoldering equipment, solder removal tools Has an advanced understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year working experience with hands-on electronic manufacturing assembly and soldering printed circuit boards IPC certified preferred (J-STD-001 or
IPC-A-610
) High school education or equivalent Strong attention to detail, very focused, good vision (see details of small objects at close range) Excellent hand-eye coordination, hands-on precision, manual dexterity Being able to sit for extended periods of time performing hand-soldering tasks by looking through lighted magnifier and microscope Professionalism, hard work ethic, responsible, team player, works well with others Quick learner, willingness to learn new tasks and take on different roles if needed Ability to read/listen carefully to follow instructions and procedures Prefer somebody who can understand basic English (at least understand verbal instructions) or able to communicate in
Vietnamese Additional Information:
The starting pay range we're currently offering is $21-25/hr depending on experience Part-time or Full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, 30 minute lunch break). We're open to flexible hours starting as early as 6am or later in the afternoon/evening. We offer holiday pay for full-time employees as well as health/dental insurance plan benefits and paid time off for vacation/sick leave upon completion of 3-month probationary period We also offer 401(k), profit sharing, and retirement pension plan benefits upon completion of 1 year employment period
