Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join a unique manufacturer in San Luis Obispo. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components and systems with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and experience working with various assembly techniques. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and develop technical skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Building electronic and mechanical assemblies according to detailed schematics, technical drawings, work instructions, and established procedures. Modifying existing PCB assemblies by removing, adding, and/or replacing circuit board components, in accordance with written or verbal instructions. Performing testing of materials at the component, sub-assembly, and complete assembly levels. Operating oscilloscopes, function generator, various meters, power supplies, service monitors, printed circuit boards, and test fixtures while understanding their use and function. Required Qualifications Must possess
IPC J-STD-001
training or certification in soldering Must possess advanced training in electronic theory from technical trade school, military training, or equivalent Associates Degree. 2+yrs experience soldering and rework skills (surface mount and through hole). Must have experience using the following equipment: DVM, oscilloscopes, PC's, function generator, power supplies, and hand tools. Must have experience with quality control charts, data collection, and programs. Experience with gyros and accelerometers is very helpful
